Students who choose the RN-B.S. Completion nursing major must complete lower division nursing courses* and the following upper division nursing courses.
Upper Division Nursing Courses
Eligibility to take Upper Division Nursing Courses while enrolled in an Associate Degree in Nursing Program
Students enrolled in an accredited associate degree program in nursing in their senior year may take two upper division nursing courses (six credits). Students interested in this option, should contact the Nursing Program office at 914.674.7865.
Transfer Credits
RN-B.S. students are considered transfer students. This means that students can transfer:
Previously earned college credits in the liberal arts and sciences and nursing may be accepted in transfer by Mercy College. Additional academic credits can also be earned by passing RCE or CLEP examinations.
Organization of the Program
This program has been designed for the part-time or full-time student. A student may enroll for 3-15 credits a semester. Courses are scheduled for a combination of evenings, days, weekends (general education classes) and/ or online. Diverse course scheduling and teaching and learning methods are utilized.
Nursing courses are offered at the Dobbs Ferry Campus and Online. General education courses can be taken at any of the branch campuses in the Bronx, Manhattan or Yorktown Heights.
RN-B.S.-M.S.
RNs with 3.0 GPAs form an associate degree program are eligible to apply for the accelerated RN-B.S.-M.S. program. In this program, up to nine graduate credits are substituted for undergraduate credits. After 120 credits, a student earns a bachelor's degree in nursing and is able to enter either the Master in Nursing Education or Master in Nursing Administration track.

The Mercy College bachelor of science degree in nursing is designed for registered nurses who have an associate's degree or who have graduated from a diploma program in nursing, and are planning to return to school for a bachelor's degree. The programs offered are RN-B.S. and RN-B.S. online only (tuition is reduced).
Students admitted to the RN-B.S. fully online completion program are eligible for reduced tuition. All courses must be taken online.

Registration Fees
12 credits or more: $321.00 per term
Less than 12 credits: $161.00 per term
