B.A. English Literature and LinguisticsDr. JungKang K. Miller joined Mercy College in the fall of 2008 as a faculty member of the Department of Literacy and Multilingual Studies in the School of Education. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Curriculum and Instruction/TESOL and an M.A. degree in Applied Linguistics/TESOL. Dr. Miller has been working with students and teachers in culturally and linguistically diverse educational settings. She taught English in Korea and in the U.S. in public schools, college ESL programs, and community-based adult ESL programs and currently works with teachers of English Language Learners. The areas of her research interests include TESL/TEFL, Second Language Acquisition, Multicultural Education, Sociolinguistics, and adult ESL literacy.
