B.A. Political SciencePatrick McCabe has a special interest in self-efficacy and literacy development and has written numerous articles in professional journals on this topic. Recently, he co-edited a special issue of Reading Psychology on Response to Intervention and Curriculum Based Measurement. Dr. McCabe taught at the elementary and secondary levels in the New York City public schools, was responsible for a literacy program at Riker’s Island Correctional Institute in New York City,
and was coordinator of the America Reads program when he was at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. McCabe has a Ph. D. in Education from Hofstra University and a master’s degree from Lehman College, CUNY.
