Dr. Kilpatrick teaches courses in English, philosophy, and sport management. A member of the Mercy faculty since 1998, Kilpatrick earned his PhD in comparative literature and MA in philosophy from Binghamton University, SUNY. The author of Writing with Blood: The Sacrificial Dramatist as Tragic Man (Eye Corner, 2011) and Obrigado: A Futebol Epic (Beadle, 2015), he has spoken on modernism, sport studies, and theory of criticism in Austria, Canada, England, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Turkey—and regularly appears on global radio and television networks, including BBC World Service and ONE World Sports.
