Dr. Berkowitz teaches voice disorders, research design, speech and hearing science, pediatric feeding disorders, cleft palate, and endoscopy. Her research interests are in cross-language speech perception, bilingualism, and voice. Dr. Berkowitz regularly works in Latin America to provide speech therapy to children with cleft lips and palates, and has also traveled with students to St. Lucia and Antigua to provide services to underserved populations.
