The Center offers a full range of hearing testing services for individuals ranging in age from infancy to adulthood. The Audiology Center houses state-of-the-art equipment including a sound-treated examination booth, clinical audiometer, immittance meter and OAE screening equipment.
Upon request, the Center will send teams to various facilities to provide hearing screening. We have assisted in screening populations at preschools, community centers, churches and skilled nursing facilities. Hearing screenings are also available on campus at the Speech and Hearing Center.
The Center provides speech and language therapy to adults with acquired language disorders, such as aphasia or traumatic brain injury (TBI). Discussion groups are facilitated to address communication skills for older adults residing in assisted living facilities in the community. Treatment for adults who stutter is also provided at the Center.
Talk for Two is a dynamic parent/child interaction program designed to educate parents in the many areas of speech and language development and how to stimulate these areas through everyday activities and play.
